Did I really just type that? 31?!? That sort of depresses me. Oh well no use dwelling on something you can't change. After all the sickness and being cooped up at home ALL I wanted for my birthday was for Jeff to watch the kids so I could have a day all.by.myself. So that's what I did. Thank you Jeff! I left at 9am and headed to Einstein's Bagels where I enjoyed a cinnamon/sugar bagel toasted with honey almond cream cheese and a hot chocolate. Delicious. Then I had a hair appointment followed by some shopping, lunch at Wahoo's, and a mani/pedi. I didn't get home until 5pm and it was glorious. No one needed me. I got to spend the entire day thinking only of myself. Hmmm, I'm sounding so selfish aren't I? Well, sometimes moms need a selfish day.
That night Jeff took me to dinner at Steakhouse 10, our favorite restaurant in Colorado. We started with cheese they set on fire and then you spread on crusty bread followed by the filet minon topped with crab meat and a delicious sauce, a side of asparagus and a baked potato. Then for dessert they brought me a free creme brulee. Oh man was I in heaven! This was definitely a splurge sort of place, so thank you Jeff for treating me so nice on my bday! I LOVED it!!!
Now if I can just figure out how live life without getting any older.
