I had a lovely Mother's Day. We enjoyed church & Jeff was kind enough to take Addie for me during Relief Society (he teaches primary) so I could enjoy the lesson uninterrupted. When we got home I wanted to get some pics of me with my kids, but made the fatal mistake of doing this after church and not before. Both kids were hungry/tired & would NOT cooperate. So I did not get a very good shot. Oh well. Here are our attempts.
Okay this next one is just awkward! I wanted a pic of the flowers Jeff got me so I thought I'd bring them outside where the lighting was nice, but what I didn't anticipate was how silly I would look holding a pitcher of flowers. Next time I'll leave them on the counter. :)
Jeff made a delicious meal of steak, asparagus, & roasted caprese salad.
For my gift Jeff gave me 5 books. They are all classics with beautiful decorative hard covers. I've wanted them for my bedroom ever since the redo and it's so nice to finally replace those ugly books for these beautiful ones! I wish all books were this pretty.
After dinner we went for a walk to the park & dropped by the Edginton's house for a quick visit.
It was such a sunny and beautiful day. I love warm weather. And I love Mother's Day!

I'm just catching up since being with you and Addie in Phoenix. Your day was the calm before the storm, right? We had a great time together, though, in spite of all of the hard work, and you DID really surprise Stacy! It was worth all of the plotting and the scheming.
You do look so pretty on Mother's Day! What lucky kids you have to have you for their mom!
