Saturday Fun

Last Saturday was our Ward Christmas Breakfast so we invited Jeff's friend and co-worker, Josh. I hope he wasn't bored to tears by the program...at least he got free yummy waffles!

Below is me between the twins Mason & Weston. They are our home teachers and Jeff's DJ roadies. No seriously. When Jeff has Stake Dance gigs these two follow him around and help him set up and tear down. In exchange he gives them DJ lessons. It's pretty awesome.
Saturday night we headed to the Edgington's home to celebrate Miya's 2nd Birthday!
Jack was very interested in all of her presents.
He kept a VERY close eye!
He also enjoyed playing with her new presents. His favorite's were the keyboard, microphone & Mrs. Potato Head. I guess we know what to get him for his birthday.
He also wanted in on the blowing out of the candles. I have a feeling he's going to get a lot more out of his 2nd birthday than he did his 1st.
Thanks for the fun party Nachelle & Happy Birthday to Miya...you won't be far behind Jack!

Jeff Turned 29!

His only two requests were for pizza and chocolate cake. Thanks to Costco both wishes were granted!

Make a wish!

We had a few friends over to celebrate, but other than that it was a pretty low key birthday. It was on a Sunday, so you know how that goes. One year away from the big 3-0...yikes. I don't think either of us are prepared for that as we'd prefer to stay in our 20's forever, but unfortunately time continues to pass without our permission.

Happy Birthday Jeff!!!

Christmas Party

Last Saturday night the Edgingtons and us went to the Office Christmas Party downtown. We decided to take the train since there was a parade of lights going on and we didn't want to fight traffic. It was Jack's first time on a train and despite this unimpressed look on his face he LOVED the train. He was all over the show. Poor Jeff was sweating by the time we arrived from chasing Jack all over the train. He wanted to say hi to people, push buttons, & his favorite...hang from the hand rail bars. He was a bit of a maniac, but pretty funny to watch.
Here are the Edgingtons on the train. Miya just sat there quietly the entire time! Man, are little boys different from little girls. She does the same thing in church. She sits there quietly playing while Jack is running up and down isles shouting, "I did it!" Argh.
The party had Mr. & Mrs. Claus and I realized once we got there that I haven't really taught Jack about Santa yet. So for all he knew it was just a random dude with a lot of hair. He was most interested in this fake goose. I made sure to pull out all of our Christmas books the next day. Maybe by Christmas he'll sort of know who Santa is.The party offered a fun night out and I enjoyed riding the train. Although Jeff rides the train into work every day I haven't been on one since we moved here from NYC. Downtown was pretty all lit up with lights and it definitely got me into the Christmas spirit.

Hair Update/Thanksgiving

I finally got all the orange out of my hair! Only now it's white! So we went to Alpine for Thanksgiving where I visited my long time hair stylist and asked her to get all the orange out and make me platinum. Well, she did. I just don't think I was quite ready to be THAT blonde. My brother & Jeff's brother's had fun making fun of me all weekend though. So I'm glad I could provide some comic relief. Check out my white hair...
This was taken on Thanksgiving Day just before we left for the Jazz game. Somehow I only manged to take two pictures on this trip...the one above & this one below of Marzi in her T-day get up. If you look closely you can see Jack in the background! What is wrong with me?Well even though we don't have many pics to document it we had a fabulous holiday in Utah. Spending time with Jeff's family, playing games late into the night, seeing my grandma, parents and a few siblings, meeting up with a couple friends, and watching Jack interact with his aunts, uncles, & grandparents. So fun! Thank you Rosemary for hosting a beautiful T-day lunch! You're an all-star for sure!!! And thanks Brent for letting Jeff & I have your tickets to the Jazz game. That was a fun night out!

Okay, one last comment on my blinding hair. It's not quite so bright after a week and a half of washes. Really. It's mellowed out a bit and I'm starting to really like it. I even bought the bleach & toner so I'm all set to do my own roots next time. I'm determined to make this pay off financially in the long run. Wish me luck ;)
